Dynamics 365
Business Central, Sales and Service
Dynamics GP stopped accepting new subscriptions on 1 April 2026. Support for GP 18.x ends 31 December 2029, and security updates stop 30 April 2031, when the service plan terminates and no further users can be added. NAV extended support ends January 2028, SL in July 2028. None of that is an emergency this quarter. All of it is a reason to pick the target now, while the choice is yours and not the calendar’s.
Six plans across finance, sales and service.

Sales Professional
Core pipeline and opportunity management.
Sales Enterprise
Adds customization depth, playbooks and forecasting.
Customer Service Enterprise
Case management and knowledge. Field Service is the same list price.
Blueprint, build, then go live and stay live.
Blueprint
A Solution Blueprint Review in Microsoft’s Success by Design framework: data model, integration, security and cutover risks written down.
Done looks like: An architecture your finance lead and your auditor both recognize.
Build
Configuration first and code only where configuration cannot reach, delivered in one production and three sandbox environments included with the licence.
Done looks like: A tested solution moved through sandboxes by pipeline, not by hand.
Go live and stay live
A go-live readiness review, then managed application services for enhancements, month-end support and version updates.
Done looks like: A closed first month end and a support path that is not someone’s mobile.
Team Members is not a cheap full user
A Team Members licence reads all application data and writes a fixed short list: activities, contacts, notes and personal views. It can create a lead but not manage one. Microsoft caps it at 15 additional tables, two customized forms and views, five custom reports and five business processes, and excludes case management, scheduling, dispatch and resource management. Sizing a project on Team Members and finding this out at user acceptance testing is the most common way these projects lose a month.
