AIM Offer 03

Govern your AI agents before you find out how many you have.

An assessment and implementation program covering agent governance, information protection and identity, built around Microsoft Purview, Entra and the Microsoft 365 E7 capability set.

Identity and protection controls spanning a connected cloud estate AIM Offer 03
The executive problem

Agents are being created faster than anyone is tracking them.

The tools that let a business analyst build an agent in an afternoon are already deployed in most Microsoft estates. That is the point of them. The consequence is an expanding population of agents that hold credentials, read company data and act on behalf of users, with no consistent record of who created them, what they can reach, or what happens when the person who built one leaves.

This is an identity and information governance problem wearing an AI costume. The controls that answer it already exist in the Microsoft stack. In most organizations they are licensed, partially configured, and not operating as a system.

The AIM offer

Find the agents, classify the data, then build the control plane.

AIM starts with discovery, because the inventory is almost always a surprise. We identify the agents, connectors and AI tools operating in your tenant, what each can reach, and who owns it. We then assess your information protection posture: where sensitive data sits, how it is labelled, and what an agent would be able to retrieve today.

From there we build the governance layer. Sensitivity labelling and data loss prevention through Purview, identity and access governance through Entra, agent lifecycle controls, and an operating model that names who approves an agent, who reviews it, and what happens when it is retired. We also assess whether your current licensing supports the control set you need, including whether E7 is the right commercial answer for your estate or an expensive way to buy capability you already hold.

What you receive

  • A discovered inventory of agents, connectors and AI tooling in your tenant, with ownership and data reach
  • An information protection assessment covering sensitive data location, labelling coverage and retrieval exposure
  • A Purview implementation plan and delivery: sensitivity labels, data loss prevention policies, retention and audit
  • Identity and access governance design through Entra, including lifecycle and entitlement controls
  • An agent governance operating model covering creation, approval, review, ownership transfer and retirement
  • A licensing position paper assessing whether E7 or an alternative configuration fits your estate
  • A residual risk register with owners and remediation sequencing

Business outcomes

  • A known, owned and reviewable population of AI agents rather than an unknown one
  • Sensitive data classified and protected before an agent retrieves it into the wrong context
  • An audit and regulatory position you can defend, with evidence rather than intent
  • A licensing decision made on the control set you actually need

Is this you?

  • You cannot produce a list of the AI agents running in your environment
  • Copilot or an agent has surfaced content someone should not have been able to see
  • Your regulator, auditor or board has asked how AI use is controlled and the answer is a policy document
  • Purview is licensed and partially configured, and nobody owns it
  • You are being asked to approve E7 and want an independent view of whether it fits
  • An agent was built by someone who has since left the organization

How it starts

A working session with security, compliance and the AI or Modern Work sponsor together, because this problem sits across all three and is usually discussed separately by each.

Engagements typically begin with the discovery and information protection assessment. It is fixed-fee, and it is the part that changes the conversation, because the inventory is rarely what the organization expected.
